At the
 21st Annual Conference of ISEE
in Dublin 26-29 August 2009
we will hold the 4th NRN workshop, a dinner
and we coorganized early morning training sessions:

WORKSHOP
‘What’s next? Progressing from PhD or post-doc’

This year the workshop will be held at the 2009 ISEE Annual Conference on Tuesday August 25th from 2-5 pm. It will involve a panel of early career researchers, who may be just a few years ahead of us, who are willing to share their experiences and answer questions about their progression from completion of PhD or post-doc to early career researcher status. This discussion will help new researchers develop strategies for their own career progression. We would greatly appreciate your participation!

We are happy to welcome as panellists:
    Jennifer Peel, USA
    Andrea Baccarelli, Italy
    Shakoor Hajat, UK
    Giulia Cesaroni, Italy
    Gemma Castaño, Spain
    Cecile Chevrier, France

DINNER
(planned for Thursday August 27, 2009)

After successful dinners in the past years, once again we will plan a dinner for new researchers. Please let us know in advance via email to info[AT]new-researchers.net, or on the sign up sheet on the announcement board at the conference if you are interested in attending, so we can make the reservation. Please note that there is no funding for this dinner – all attendees have to pay their own order. Please consult the announcement board at the conference for information on the location!!!

EARLY MORNING TRAINING SESSIONS

We were asked by the organizers if we wanted to put together a program for the mornings of Wednesday to Friday from 7:30 – 8:30 am at the conference. We are happy to announce we were able to engage six experienced and renowned researchers to a give a lecture on an important or upcoming topic in the broad field of environmental epidemiology. Two sessions per day are scheduled. These early morning training sessions are geared toward young/new researchers but open to everybody.
